About the role

About the job: I am looking for an experienced 180-degree Recruiter to focus on Legal/Attorney recruiting. You would join a team with me within Oculus Group, to focus on lateral recruiting for law firms, at all levels. Our clients include both Am Law 100 & 200 firms and boutique/mid-size firms. You would execute the full candidate-side of legal recruiting, such as sourcing, screening, and placing attorneys, partners, and senior legal professionals. This role is a 1099 role and there is no guaranteed compensation for this position, but also unlimited compensation potential. You can work 100% remotely (with a WeWork option if you choose) and work a flexible schedule. However, I am looking for someone who can commit 30+ hours per week to the position and work core business hours at least 3 days per week. There are no fixed metrics for this position, but based on my experience, this model only works for those who are extremely self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
  • Source, screen, and qualify candidates for open roles
  • Execute/support the full candidate-side of the recruiting lifecycle: outreach, interviews, feedback, and offer process
  • Maintain accurate candidate and client records in our CRM
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow within a fast-expanding practice.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through
  • Self-starter with a strong drive to succeed in a commission-based role
What We Offer:
  • Commission-based compensation with unlimited earning potential.
  • Mentorship from experienced recruiters with a proven track record of success.
  • A chance to be part of a growing Legal Recruiting Practice at Oculus Group and help shape its future
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with direct leadership visibility.
  • A flexible, fully remote opportunity with the freedom to build your practice from anywhere in the continental United States

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
