ABOUT
A job search shouldn't be a second job
David Careers is a matching service. You tell us the kinds of work you want, in order of preference. We watch every role that comes in and send you the ones worth your time. That's the whole product.

WHY WE BUILD IT
Searching is the wrong verb
Job boards are built around a search box, which assumes you know the exact title of the job you want, that the company used that same title, and that you'll come back tomorrow to check again. Three assumptions, all usually wrong.
Most people can describe the kind of work they want easily, and rank a few options against each other without much effort. That's a far more stable signal than a search query, and it doesn't expire. So we built the product around it: you rank, we match, matches come to you.
The result is closer to how a recruitment agency works than how a job board works — without needing to phone anyone, and without your CV being forwarded places you didn't agree to.
HOW IT WORKS
Three moving parts
01
Your ranking
Up to three occupation categories, weighted in order, plus optional filters for location, industry, and salary floor. It's editable forever and takes about two minutes to set.
02
The match
Every role that arrives — posted directly or synced from a company's careers feed — is scored against your ranking. Roles that don't clear the bar never reach you.
03
The email
Matches come to your inbox. There's no schedule to configure: we write more often while you're actively searching and ease off when you're not.
CATEGORIES, NOT TITLES
Why we don't match on job titles
Companies invent titles. Standard occupation categories don't move, so a ranking you set once keeps working even as the market renames everything.
Every incoming role is mapped to a standard occupation category before it reaches anyone. You rank the category once; the mapping absorbs whatever a company decides to call it.
COMMITMENTS
What we don't do
Sell or share your profile
Your details go to a company when you apply to that company. Not before, and not to anyone else. We don't sell candidate data to third parties.
Pad the board with dead roles
Listings expire when the feed drops them or the posting lapses. A count that never goes down isn't a count.
Make unsubscribing hard
One click to pause, one to stop, both in every email. Pausing doesn't delete your ranking — it'll be there when you come back.
Re-send what you've passed on
Dismiss a role and it stays dismissed. Dismiss enough of one kind and we adjust what clears the bar.
Start with three roles
Rank what you want, add your email, and the matches come to you. Two minutes to set up, and you can change it whenever.
