About the role

Our client is a successful global industrial manufacturer of highly engineered products and is seeking a Business Unit Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance for a key manufacturing segment. Reporting to the Business Unit Finance Head, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening financial controls, improving reporting accuracy, and driving process improvements across a decentralized, global organization. You’ll partner with business and operations leaders while overseeing a local accounting team and collaborating with international shared services teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Strengthen internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness. Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and margin analysis. Support budgeting, forecasting, capital investment analysis, and business performance reviews. Improve accounting processes, reporting consistency, and systems utilization. Lead and develop the accounting team while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate: A hands-on finance leader with strong US GAAP, manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and internal controls experience. The successful candidate will combine technical accounting expertise with strong business partnering, leadership, and process improvement skills in a global environment.
Note: Relocation support available.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
