Position Summary The Garnishment Associate is designed to support client facing garnishment team. This is an entry-level position in a fast-growing organization with unlimited opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with department Inbox (general inquiries) Assist with high-volume administrative tasks. Sort/scan department mail Coordinate outbound department mailings. Introduction to basic garnishment knowledge (order types, forms, common vocabulary) Communicate with internal departments and external clients/employees. Assist with various clerical tasks as requested. Marginal Functions Attend Webinar, Seminars, and other trainings. Other ad hoc or projects as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work effectively and efficiently High attention to detail Ability to meet daily and weekly department deadlines. Good communication skills, oral and written. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Self-starter able to make sound business judgment in carrying out assigned tasks. Proficient in MS Office Strong organizational skills Education & Experience Office experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent Physical, Mental, & Communication Demands Frequently required to sit; occasionally required to stand and walk. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75-100% of the time and must be able to occasionally move about the building to access copiers, filing cabinets, or grab mail from front desk. Must be able to constantly communicate with team members and employees. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, printer, scanners, faxes, and copiers. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Requires constant mental comprehension to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Moderate concentration/intensity, which includes prolonged mental effort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May occasionally move objects up to 20lbs. throughout the office. Environmental Conditions Indoor, office environment. May occasionally have moderate noise level from copiers, W2 or check printers, or co-workers.
