Regional Sales Manager – Northeast USAPackaging Automation | Robotics | Capital Equipment
Location: Northeast USA – Remote / Home-Based Territory: Northeast USA & Eastern Canada We are partnering with a leading global manufacturer of sophisticated automated packaging and robotic systems to appoint a Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast USA.This is a high-autonomy commercial position responsible for developing a significant territory across the Northeast, combining new business development, existing account growth and strategic key account management. The successful individual will sell complex, high-value automation solutions into manufacturing environments and will be comfortable managing the complete sales process – from identifying and qualifying opportunities through technical concept development, commercial proposals, negotiations and closing multi-million-dollar projects.
The Role: You will be responsible for: Developing and executing the commercial strategy for the Northeast territory. Identifying and winning new customers across target manufacturing markets. Managing and expanding relationships with an established customer base. Developing strategic national and key accounts headquartered within the region. Identifying automation opportunities and understanding customer production challenges, constraints and requirements. Working with customers to develop technical concepts and complete automation solutions. Supporting system layouts and concept development using AutoCAD.Preparing and presenting technical and commercial proposals for complex capital equipment projects. Presenting solutions to stakeholders ranging from engineering and maintenance teams through to senior executives and C-Suite decision-makers. Managing projects through the complete commercial sales cycle. Representing the business at customer sites, industry events and trade shows.
Candidate Profile: We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have:4–6+ years of relevant technical sales experience within packaging machinery, automation, robotics, material handling or related capital equipment. A strong track record of developing new business and managing complex technical sales cycles. Experience selling solutions into manufacturing environments, ideally within food, beverage or consumer packaged goods. The technical ability to understand production challenges and translate them into viable automation concepts. Experience presenting and negotiating high-value capital equipment projects. Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar layout/design software. Strong commercial instincts and a genuine drive to develop new customers. The ability to operate autonomously across a large geographic territory. An engineering degree or technical background would be advantageous, although relevant industry experience will also be considered. Candidates should be based within, or immediately adjacent to, the Northeast USA territory and comfortable travelling regularly throughout the region.
