Job Title: Associate Attorney Maryland & Virginia – Immediate need in Maryland
Job Type: Full-time preferred, but part-time opportunities are possible.
Office Location: Manassas, Virginia, but remote work options will be considered.

We are a multi-state law specializing in creditors' rights litigation, collection litigation and landlord-tenant litigation. We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team to provide high-quality legal services to our clients in Virginia, Maryland and Georgia. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and supportive environment, where they will be given opportunities to develop their skills and advance their careers.
Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Represent clients in collection cases and landlord-tenant disputes in Virginia and Maryland
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Appear in court and argue motions and present trials.
- Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests, taking depositions, and preparing witnesses for depositions.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, courts and other parties.
- Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Maintain accurate and timely billing records.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Virginia and/or Maryland bar.1-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably in the areas of collections and landlord-tenant disputes.
Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to commute to Virginia and Maryland as needed.
