About the role

Search.com | Building a dedicated five-person team Employment: Full-time | Level: Mid-Senior
Location: Negotiable - Remote, Worldwide
Salary: Open and negotiable
Search.com is building a dedicated five-person publisher acquisition team for AI site search. Its publisher offerings include an API, an embeddable widget and branded search experiences. This full-cycle individual contributor role owns the commercial relationship from personal prospecting through an executed publisher agreement and live implementation. Direqt AI Search is the acquired product reference. What you will own- Build your own pipeline of editorial, commerce and specialist publishers. Reach revenue, product, search and content decision makers and qualify content rights, audience intent, existing search behavior, technical readiness and commercial opportunity.- Present a practical proposal covering search placement, permitted content, the publisher's brand, monetization and success measures. Coordinate demonstrations and discovery with product and technical colleagues.- Personally negotiate the approved economic model, revenue share where applicable, content and placement permissions, reporting, payment conditions and launch responsibilities. Own the executed-agreement close.- Coordinate feed or API access, content freshness, search placement, analytics, relevance testing and sponsored-result presentation. Resolve commercial issues that prevent the same publisher partnership from launching.- Forecast signed and activated publishers, time to launch, eligible query activity, valid monetized engagement and attributable downstream outcomes. Evaluate incremental economics while protecting useful search and the audience relationship. What you bring Evidence that you personally originated external publishers, negotiated their terms, closed executed distribution or monetization agreements and took those same partnerships live. Relevant experience includes site search, contextual search, content discovery or performance publisher partnerships. Explain how a real query or content intent became a valid monetized click, purchase, accepted inquiry or other agreed conversion. Be comfortable discussing feeds, APIs, search experience and measurement with technical teams. GOLF.com's Direqt search embed is an implementation reference.
How to apply: Submit your resume and two publisher deal examples explaining your prospecting, commercial decisions, executed agreement, launch and measured result. Identify who controlled the content, traffic or placement and who paid whom. Use anonymized examples rather than supplying sensitive contracts.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
