About the role
- Generate and close enterprise pipeline. Own a direct territory and book of business, while serving as an overlay to direct reps. Run the full sales cycle independently, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close, targeting multi-million and eight-figure opportunities.
- Sell to the CMO's organization. Build deep, trusted relationships with CMOs and their technical counterparts, and lead executive-level conversations that shape the buying vision.
- Tell a differentiated story. Position Marketing AI as the intelligence layer over the customer's existing Martech and CDP stack. Show how it moves marketers from segment averages to individual-level prediction, and from launch-and-hope to simulate-then-spend.
- Build the business case. Understand each customer's Martech architecture, performance metrics, data readiness, and AI maturity. Translate that into measurable outcomes such as forecast confidence, campaign efficiency, and AI cost economics.
- Orchestrate the deal. Partner with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership to run multi-threaded, 6–12 month cycles.
- Forecast with discipline. Maintain a well-qualified pipeline and give sales leadership accurate, regular reporting.
- Shape the roadmap. Bring field insights on buyer needs, objections, and the competitive Martech landscape back to Product and Go-to-Market leadership.
- Stay expert. Keep expert-level knowledge of Marketing AI, the Martech ecosystem, and enterprise AI trends.
- Travel. Expect moderate domestic and international travel.
- What You Bring 7+ years in strategic or enterprise software sales, with a record of closing and expanding large, complex accounts.
- Direct experience selling marketing technology, with deep knowledge of the Martech stack (CDPs, marketing automation, personalization, analytics, and campaign orchestration).Experience leading or closing eight-figure ($10M+) deals.
- Proven success selling to CMOs or CMO-equivalent technical buyers in Fortune 500 or large enterprise environments.
- Executive presence, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to explain AI in business terms to non-technical buyers.
- Consultative, value-based selling that ties technology to measurable business outcomes.
- Experience managing multi-threaded, cross-functional sales cycles of 6–12 months.
- Strong plus
- Background at a leading marketing cloud or suite provider (for example, Adobe Experience Cloud or Salesforce Marketing Cloud), or at a CDP or Martech platform vendor.
- Experience selling AI, analytics, or data-intelligence products into marketing organizations.
- An existing network of CMO and Martech leader relationships in your territory.
- Hiring Pay Range:$260,900 - $358,750
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
