About the role
- Research statutes and regulations on real issues facing the business, including property and casualty insurance regulation (securities, insurance policy, and consumer services rules), employment, and technology, and share your conclusions with attorneys in written memos and verbal briefings.
- Help attorneys, paralegals, and compliance professionals develop policies, training materials, and guidelines, and support document reviews and research in employment, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and insurance regulatory law.
- Sit in on meetings where Legal advises the business, including underwriting, claims, specialty risk, procurement, accounting, treasury, compliance, and investments.
- Take on a variety of projects across practice areas, so you leave with a broad view of in-house legal work.
- What We'll Do:
- Pair you with in-house attorneys for mentoring and guidance throughout the summer.
- Introduce you to senior legal leadership and help you build a professional network that lasts beyond the summer.
- Give you hands-on experience with the legal technology and AI tools our in-house team uses every day, skills that will set you apart as you start your career.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
