Our challenge We are seeking an experienced Generative AI Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale AI and GenAI solutions. The ideal candidate will lead AI initiatives, define architecture standards, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with business stakeholders to implement innovative AI-powered products using LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, and cloud-native technologies.
Additional Information:
  • The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within NYC is $110k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of GenAI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs). Define AI strategy, architecture, governance, and best practices across the organization. Build and deploy AI applications leveraging RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Vector Databases, and AI Agents. Develop Agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify AI use cases and translate requirements into scalable solutions. Architect AI platforms on cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Establish AI security, compliance, responsible AI, and model governance standards. Lead technical teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor AI/ML engineers. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and drive innovation initiatives. Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of AI applications in production environments.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in Generative AI.
  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or open-source LLMs (Llama, Mistral).
  • Expertise in Python and AI frameworks.
  • Experience with: LangChain LangGraph CrewAI / AutoGen
  • Strong understanding of: Prompt Engineering, RAG Architecture, Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, FAISS), mMulti-Agent Systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Knowledge of MLOps and CI/CD for AI deployments.
