Are you a hands-on finance leader who understands the business behind great projects? Our client, an award-winning architecture, planning, and interior design firm, is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its finance function and serve as a strategic partner to firm leadership. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the numbers, strengthen financial operations, and help guide the continued success of a highly respected creative organization. You will oversee the monthly close, financial reporting, project accounting, billing and collections, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and key performance metrics. You will also lead a small accounting team and work closely with Principals and project leaders to improve visibility into project performance, profitability, utilization, backlog, and margins.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • At least five years within architecture, engineering, construction, or another project-based professional services environment
  • Strong knowledge of WIP, fee-based billing, project profitability, and revenue recognition
  • Experience leading the monthly close and managing an accounting team
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and advise senior leadership
  • Deltek Vantagepoint experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or public accounting experience is a plus

Compensation: $175,000 to $195,000 base salary, based on experience, plus a discretionary year-end bonus and comprehensive benefits. Hybrid flexibility is available on Mondays and Fridays.
