Work Environment: This full-time position is situated on-site at our home care facility, providing a collaborative environment where communication and teamwork are key to patient success. As a member of our organization, you will join a small team of healthcare professionals that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The facility is equipped with cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment within a welcoming atmosphere designed to foster healing and well-being.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess each patient's individual needs and objectives. Design and implement personalized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques aimed at restoring mobility and function. Manage a patient caseload of approximately one patient per hour to ensure focused and effective treatment. Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to facilitate recovery and improve patient outcomes. Monitor and document treatment outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize effectiveness and efficiency. Promote patient understanding of their conditions, motivating them to adhere to treatment protocols and encouraging consistent participation in their care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care, ensuring holistic treatment of patients. Encourage lifestyle changes and provide education on exercise routines to enhance physical health, stability, and coordination. Regularly communicate progress with patients, families, and other staff members to keep everyone informed and engaged in the recovery process. Patient Population / Client FocusThe primary focus of our physical therapy practice is on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system. Our patient population is diverse, consisting of individuals across various age groups seeking relief from pain and rehabilitation assistance to improve their daily quality of life. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance and are committed to delivering high-quality personalized care to each individual.

Qualifications: Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. A valid Florida state license as a Physical Therapist is mandatory. Must possess a clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions. Evidence of strong competence in manual therapy and exercise protocol development. Exceptional skills in patient assessment and communication are essential. Experience with electronic medical records systems, such as WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience within a rehabilitation or outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in working collaboratively with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Background in developing fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient goals.
