Business Development RepresentativeLB Contract Supply — Carrollton, TX Full-Time | Outside Sales / Business Development | DFW MetroplexLB Contract Supply is hiring a Business Development Representative to help expand our commercial construction relationships throughout DFW.This is not a passive inside-sales position. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, creating relationships, opening doors, and making LB memorable. You will represent the company at job walks, contractor meetings, property visits, networking events, customer meetings, and through consistent outbound prospecting and follow-up. The right person has strong personal presence, communicates confidently, enjoys talking with new people, and is comfortable being the person who starts the conversation.
What You'll Do: Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, customer meetings, and industry events. Make outbound calls and introduce LB to contractors, developers, property managers, and other commercial customers. Visit jobsites and customer offices. Develop relationships with key accounts and prospects. Follow up consistently on bids, meetings, introductions, and opportunities. Re-engage dormant customers and lost opportunities. Work with estimating and project teams to identify and pursue opportunities. Maintain accurate notes, contacts, and follow-up activity in company systems. Learn LB's product and service offerings. Learn basic takeoffs, estimating, and proposal preparation. Represent LB professionally and leave customers with a strong impression of the company. Who We're Looking ForYou may be a strong fit if you:are naturally outgoing and comfortable meeting new people; bring energy into a room; communicate clearly and confidently; enjoy initiating conversations rather than waiting for introductions; are comfortable making cold calls and walking into unfamiliar environments; build rapport quickly with different personalities; follow up persistently without becoming annoying; are highly responsive and organized; enjoy measurable goals and competition; are comfortable speaking with executives, project managers, superintendents, and field personnel; are willing to ask for the opportunity and the next meeting; and understand that relationships only create value when followed by consistent execution.
Career Growth & Development: This role is designed for someone who already has some professional experience and is ready for a bigger opportunity. We are not specifically looking for a career salesperson with a large existing book of business. We are looking for someone ambitious, coachable, professionally mature, and eager to grow. You will be trained to:understand plans, specifications, and project requirements; assist with takeoffs and estimating; build pricing and proposals; understand project scope and exclusions; follow opportunities from introduction through award; and grow into a broader commercial role over time. The goal is to develop someone who can do more than generate leads. Over time, you should become capable of creating the opportunity, helping price it, presenting the proposal, following it through, and helping turn the relationship into repeat business.
Experience: Some professional experience is expected, but extensive sales experience is not required. Backgrounds in commercial construction, multifamily, flooring, furniture, glazing, interiors, building products, property management, hospitality, recruiting, customer service, account coordination, or other people-facing professional environments can translate well. We are especially interested in someone looking for their next step, not necessarily someone who has already spent 15 years in outside sales. We can teach products, estimating, proposals, and our sales process. We need someone who already knows how to connect with people, create momentum, learn quickly, stay organized, and follow through. Technology & AILB uses CRM, automation, and AI tools to support prospecting, follow-up, communication, and customer development. You must be comfortable learning and using technology as part of your daily work. This Role Is Probably Not a Fit If Youdislike cold outreach; prefer communicating mainly by email; are uncomfortable introducing yourself to strangers; need incoming leads before starting conversations; avoid asking customers for meetings or opportunities; struggle with consistent follow-up; or prefer a role that keeps you behind a desk.
What Success Looks Like: A successful Business Development Representative:creates conversations → earns meetings → builds trust → follows up → generates opportunities → helps price the work → helps turn those opportunities into repeat customers. We want someone customers remember after they leave the room. Flexible work from home options available.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
