Job Summary:
BDO is seeking a senior manager level professional to do demand forecast analysis for Intelligence Community (IC) Agencies. This role involves developing and implementing a demand forecast capability to be performed on at least a semi-annual basis in addition to analyzing and forecasting demand trends. They will also be responsible for answering urgent taskers requesting group specific information.
Job Duties:
Transforms raw financial data into clear, digestible reports for analysis and presentationCreates excel analysis files from scratch, rather than modifying or updating pre-existing templatesInterprets management requests and autonomously develop relevant financial reportsDelivers a full range of services that uses their educational background, experience, and organizational skills while serving BDO's dynamic public sector client baseSupports or leads task areas while coordinating closely with engagement team management and client leadership on strategy, planning, execution, status, and review processesSupports clients with key financial and budgetary, information technology, and operational transformation initiativesAdapts to a changing client environment while meeting client expectationsManages priorities and works effectively to initiate correspondence and task completion. Supports multiple efforts through flexible multi-task coordinationProvides summary recommendations to team leadership regarding assigned work streamApplies fundamental industry knowledge and standards to support client reviews, improvements, and/or implementationsCommunicates and maintains relationships with key client personnel to ensure shared understanding of business processes, operations, and functionsPrepares presentations, briefings, and actively participates in client meetings and day-to-day interactionsCommunicates with team management through effective status reporting and demonstrates ownership and accountability for assigned task areas and work productsEstablishes professional rapport with clients and other organizationsEvaluates work products for technical accuracy, deliverable quality, and overall value to the clientAttends relevant training, business seminars, and/or conferences to stay current with technical skills that align with client's needs and changes in the industryResearch industry and market trends and develop presentations and materials in support of potential firm initiativesCultivates growth of existing and new businessOther duties as requiredSupervisoryResponsibilities: May supervise the day-to-day workload of Public Sector direct reports related to client projects, business development, and other activities, including maintaining team productivity and review of work productsEvaluates the performance of any Public Sector direct reports and assist in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional developmentDelivers periodic performance feedback and completes the annual performance evaluation for Public Sector staff as appropriateServes as a mentor / career advisor to Public Sector staff as appropriateQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: EducationBachelor's Degree, required; focus in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, preferredMaster's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, preferredExperienceEight (8) or more years of accounting, finance, business, or management experience, requiredExperience leading financial planning, budgeting, or accounting roles, requiredTwelve (12) or more years of accounting, finance, business, or management experience, preferredExperience with working capital fund or other federal working capital funds, preferredExperience with business process improvement methodologies, preferredProgressive experience in managing or leading firm initiatives, client project activities, and/or staff, preferredExperience working with and briefing senior program managers or leaders, preferredPublic speaking and/or training experience, preferredStrong business acumen, preferredLicense(s)/Certification(s) Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance, requiredSoftwareProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suites, requiredAdvanced proficiency in the use of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, raw data manipulation), requiredLanguage(s)N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels within the client organization and in the firmAbility to analyze, collect, and normalize historical data, including review of product/service demand pricingAbility to research demand shifts and economic indicators and adjust forecasts accordinglyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate within a team environment and with a customer service focusAbility to follow instructions as directedSuperior organizational skills required with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDetail oriented with in-depth knowledge and application of English grammar and ability to proofread all written materials including proposals, pitches, presentations, etc. Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
