About the role
Senior / Principal Software Engineer, RipeGlobalRemote, US · Full-time RipeGlobal is building the global platform for performance skills training with AI integrated hardware. The platform is called DrLrn.ai. Our technology powers RETP, our proprietary training method, along with a growing membership library, live and on-demand courses and CE delivery for clinicians and DSO partners across the US, Australia and the UK and individual clinicians in 35 other countries. Currently the platform is been proofed in the dental market however is designed for other medical and procedural verticals. We're hiring a Senior or Principal Software Engineer to set the technical direction of our platform and personally build the systems that will take it to the next stage of scale. This is a senior individual contributor role with real influence over architecture, standards and the roadmap, and will report directly to the CTO and COO.What you'll own The end-to-end architecture of our learning platform: membership, video delivery, live events, assessments and CE tracking Technical strategy and key decisions, including build or buy, platform choices, scalability and cost Writing and reviewing production code on the most complex and highest-impact parts of the system Engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, security and data privacy (HIPAA and GDPR) Integration architecture for CRM, payments, analytics and enterprise DSO platforms Turning business and clinical goals into a clear, sequenced technical roadmap with operations, education and marketing leads Mentoring and raising the bar for engineers and contractors, and helping build out the team What you bring~8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years at Senior, Staff or Principal level~ Proven experience designing and scaling SaaS platforms in production, ideally e-learning, video or subscription products~ Deep expertise in TypeScript/Node.js, React and Python, and cloud-native architecture on AWS or GCP~ Strong system design, data modeling and API design skills, plus hands-on DevOps~ A record of leading technical initiatives across teams without direct authority~ Clear written and spoken communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders~ Bonus: experience in healthcare or edtech, compliance-heavy environments, or an early-stage team
Compensation and benefits:
- Senior Software Engineer: $150,000 to $185,000 base salary
- Principal Software Engineer: $180,000 to $225,000 base salary
- Annual bonus and equity eligibility
