About the role

Our client is building a platform where AI doesn't just analyze data; We're looking for their Software Engineering Manager, the person who owns the backend from the whiteboard to production and pulls the team up along the way. You build it, you ship it, you own it in the wild. Design and stand up backend services that hold up under real load, not just on a slide. Data. Go deep on databases: schema, queries, and the performance work that separates fast products from slow ones. Quality. Ship with strong unit testing, because the bugs that reach production are the expensive kind. DevOps. You own what you ship, end to end. Already using AI to work faster and sharper, because that's now table stakes, not a bonus. Real production experience building and running backend services at scale, not just prototypes. Expert-level Python experience. Solid understanding of DevOps concepts, including containers, deployment, monitoring, and reliability Deep database chops: you can model the data, write the queries, and find the bottleneck. A track record of testing and operational discipline, because you've felt the cost of skipping it.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
