About the role

Interim Strategic Finance & Growth Lead – Series B & US M&A PreparationROLE AT A GLANCE
Position: Senior Interim Strategic Finance Lead / Transaction Advisor
Engagement: Interim, embedded in the leadership team (Minimum 3 days/week) Start: November 2026
Duration: Approx. 3–6 months (with potential extension to transaction completion)
Location: Flexible (US, UK or Europe-based)
Pay: Top-tier day rate + transaction completion bonusTHE COMPANYA venture-backed hard-tech company building robotics and automation for next-generation mobility and industrial infrastructure. It is scaling commercial deployments with major operators and preparing for a significant growth phase.- Proprietary hardware and software, protected by a substantial patent portfolio.- Proven in commercial deployments, with customers in more than one segment.- Strong demand from larger partners to accelerate rollout.- Operating internationally.
THE ROLE: Embedded alongside the CEO and CFO, you will serve as the strategic driver for both the Series B raise and M&A track—protecting the C-suite’s bandwidth so leadership can focus on scaling day-to-day operations. Strategic M&A Execution: Evaluate strategic options, perform financial analysis, and lead direct outreach to potential acquirers and corporate development teams across the US autonomous ecosystem. Investment Bank Management: Select, manage, and act as the principal interface for external investment banks and M&A advisors. Series B Leadership: If executing a Series B raise, directly own and lead the fundraising process from narrative development to close. Corporate Readiness: Build and own the complex long-range financial models, scenario analyses, valuation frameworks, and data rooms required for rigorous buy-side or growth equity due diligence. Board & C-Suite Advisory: Provide high-level deal leadership, keeping the CEO, CFO, and Board aligned throughout negotiations. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORWe need a heavyweight, senior transaction leader who brings both strategic gravitas and deep operational execution. You must be comfortable going toe-to-toe with C-suite executives, global corporate development teams, and top-tier US tech leaders (e.g., Waymo, Uber, Alphabet). This is a hands-on execution role—not a high-level advisory or strategy consulting position.
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Seniority & Track Record: Extensive senior-level experience (Director level / C-suite advisor / Head of Corporate Development). Candidates at a mid-level or VP stage, or with under 10–12+ years of deal leadership, will not be senior enough for this mandate. Autonomous Vehicle (AV) & Fleet Ecosystem Expertise: Proven track record and deep familiarity with the AV landscape, robotaxi networks, autonomous fleets, and their underlying unit economics. US Market & Network: Direct experience negotiating and executing transactions in the US market. Established familiarity with key US tech, fleet, and mobility players is mandatory. Dual-Track & Hands-On Execution: Proven experience building complex strategic financial models from scratch, managing data rooms, preparing investor materials, and running M&A/fundraising processes end-to-end. Location & Availability: Based in either the US or the UK, available from November 2026 for at least 3 days per week.
Helpful: Experience navigating cross-border UK/EU to US corporate flips, HQ relocations, or international scale-ups. Deep background in venture- or private equity-backed hardware/software IP valuation. ENGAGEMENT & COMPENSATIONHighly competitive market day rate, structured with a substantial performance-based completion bonus upon closing the Series B or M&A transaction.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
