About the role

Bey, a busy, independent restaurant in Boston’s South End is looking for an experienced line cook to join our kitchen team. We’re looking for someone who can work cleanly, stay organized, communicate well, and maintain consistency through a busy service. The kitchen is focused on Lebanese cooking with a modern approach, so an interest in the food and a willingness to learn the details of the menu are important. Strong fundamentals matter more to us than a particular culinary background. Prior professional kitchen experience is preferred. You should be comfortable with station setup and breakdown, prep, proper food handling, working efficiently during service, and keeping your station exceptionally clean and organized. Reliability and the ability to work well with a small team are essential. This is an hourly position with competitive pay based on experience. For cooks with serious experience and the chops to demonstrate it, we’re flexible on rate.
What we’re looking for:
  • Professional line-cook experience
  • Strong organization and cleanliness
  • Solid knife skills and kitchen fundamentals
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing consistency
  • Reliable attendance and communication
  • Interest in Lebanese food and learning the menu
  • A good attitude and ability to work as part of a close-knit team
Full-time and part-time candidates will be considered. Please send a resume and a brief introduction outlining your experience and availability. Employment Type(s): Full-time, Part-time

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
