About the role

Job DescriptionManager, IAM Engineering Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area | South Florida Contract-to-Direct | Confidential Search U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only | No sponsorship If you came up building workforce identity systems and are now the person other IAM engineers turn to when provisioning, lifecycle, federation, or integrations get difficult, this may be worth a conversation. Identify Security is supporting a confidential client expanding its IAM engineering organization in South Florida. They need a true player-coach -- someone who has personally built complex identity solutions and can now lead engineers without leaving the engineering behind. This is not a governance-only, certification, or vendor-management role. What Matters Most You should have real experience across several of these areas: Joiner / mover / leaver lifecycle HR-driven provisioning and deprovisioning Identity correlation and authoritative sources Active Directory / Entra ID Application onboarding REST / SCIM / APIs / connectors Federation, SAML, OAuth, OIDC Role and entitlement management ServiceNow workflows Provisioning failures and reconciliation Automation / scripting PAM / privileged access You do not need every product in the client’s stack. Specific platforms can be learned. Identity engineering judgment needs to already be there. The Kind of Problems You Have Solved A new hire does not receive downstream access A mover event creates the wrong permissions A termination fails to remove access HR data does not correlate correctly A native connector cannot meet the requirement An integration works in test but fails in production We want to understand what you personally designed, fixed, challenged, or implemented. Leadership You may already be an IAM Manager. Or you may be a: Lead IAM Engineer Principal IAM Engineer IAM / Identity Architect Identity Platform Lead Technical Lead who has been mentoring engineers, reviewing designs, setting direction, and is ready for formal people leadership. You should be comfortable: developing engineers reviewing technical designs challenging weak architecture helping solve difficult IAM problems building repeatable engineering patterns reducing vendor dependency communicating clearly with technical and business leaders Environment Experience with technologies such as Entra ID, Active Directory, Ping / ForgeRock, ServiceNow, SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, OIM, MIM, IdentityMinder, NetIQ, or IBM Identity Manager is relevant. Exact product match is less important than strong workforce IAM engineering fundamentals. Logistics
Location: Miami-Fort Lauderdale / South Florida
Work arrangement: Remote-to-onsite transition Employment: Contract-to-Direct
Work authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only
If you have spent your career building workforce identity systems and helping other engineers solve hard IAM problems, I’d like to hear from you.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
