About the role

Social Media Manager & Brand Storyteller Rockville, Maryland · Full-time · In person You are a creative, strategic, self-starting video storyteller who loves to capture, edit, and share the moments that matter, and you're looking for a fun, creative company with great stories to tell.
ABOUT THE ROLE: VIVA Creative is hiring a social media manager who is, above all, a strong video storyteller. You'd own channels and their content, showing off the work we make for clients, the in-office culture behind it, and the people who make it happen. You'd also produce brand assets we use well beyond social. WHAT YOU'D DO Own social channels: strategy, calendar, publishing, community, and reporting. Concept, shoot, and edit multiple reels a week at a high standard. This is the heart of the job. Turn finished events and productions into compelling short-form stories. Document our fun in-office culture. Capture behind-the-scenes content in our studios. Produce internal and external brand video: sizzles, case studies, short films, whatever the moment calls for. Stay on top of platform trends and know which ones are worth our time. WHAT YOU BRING Strong video craft: you shoot well, light well, and edit with polish and pace. You're as comfortable with a camera in your hands as in an edit timeline. You work at both ends of the spectrum, fast phone content one day and scripted brand film the next. You think strategically about audience and story, not just output. Experience running social for a brand, agency, or established channel, with work you can show. Recent grads with this experience are encouraged to apply.
WHO YOU ARE: Creative and self-starting: you see a moment worth capturing, dream up clever, catchy, inventive ways to film and share it, and make it happen at agency speed. Organized enough to keep a content calendar and stick to it. Solid business acumen, and a love of analytics to understand what moves the needle. Fast-moving and unfazed by a live event's pace. And eager to learn everything you can about the many experiential art forms we create. WHY WE'RE IN PERSON This role is fully in person in our Rockville studios, not remote or hybrid. We're a tech-forward agency that uses AI every day in transformational and innovative ways, but ours is a human business. Ideas come from people in a room together: a creative thought said out loud, a sketch on the back of a page, a question that turns into the answer. We like raw brainstorming, critical thinking, discourse, prototyping, and iteration of ideas. That's why every piece of our work carries a human signature. COMPENSATION Salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits. TO APPLY Send your résumé, reel, and links to accounts you've run to with "Social Media Manager" in the subject line. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
