About the role
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and install wood, metal, and manufactured concrete forming systems.
Form footings, foundations, walls, columns, grade beams, slabs, and other concrete structures.
Measure, cut, assemble, and secure forming materials.
Read and interpret construction drawings, dimensions, elevations, and layout information.
Tying of rebar reinforcing.
Set forms accurately to line, grade, elevation, and required dimensions.
Install blockouts, embeds, anchor bolt templates, chamfer strips, and related components.
Brace and secure forms to withstand concrete placement.
Strip and clean forms following concrete placement.
Inspect forming materials and reusable systems for damage.
Assist with concrete placement and other concrete-related activities when needed.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and construction equipment.
Maintain an organized and safe work area.
Follow company safety requirements and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
2+ years of concrete form carpentry or commercial construction experience preferred.
Knowledge of concrete forming methods and construction practices.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.
Ability to read construction plans and layout information preferred.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50–75 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and work in physically demanding conditions.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
