Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt – U.S. Coast Guard (BL/MSS BPA). We are seeking a highly qualified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSS MBB) to support the U.S. Coast Guard’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) as part of the Business and Logistics Management Support Services (BL/MSS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).. Mentor and certify LSS Green Belt and Black Belt candidates across government teams. Support Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and other methodologies across USCG operations. Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification (DoD or ASQ preferred)
Quality improvements may be small or large scale and are in alignment with Hoag’s strategic goals for example, addressing 30-day readmissions and mortality reduction. The Quality Improvement Manager may apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies to deliver results. Five years’ experience in performance/process improvement projects including but not limited to Lean, Six Sigma methodologies.. Demonstrated performance improvement and process improvement skills and knowledge of methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and PDCA. Highly proficient in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of large, complex projects according to standard project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid). Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. Manage project changes effectively through integrated change control processes. Strong understanding and practical application of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall). Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, PPM tools).
Must be able to demonstrate excellent IT Project Management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to help manage Scrum team backlog and/or Kanban Flow, and priorities using agile based tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Version One etc. 8 Years - Demonstrated experience with vendor management on a large IT project/system implementation.. 3 Years - Ability to help manage Scrum team backlog and/or Kanban Flow, and priorities using agile based tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Version One etc. 5 Years - PMP Certification from PMI.
