About the role

We've done the hard part. We did the research. We talked to the buyers. We have customers ready to pay. Now we need the product, and we want you to build it with us. CareTalent AI is looking for a product co-founder to build our first prototype. It's part-time to start, about 5 to 10 hours a week, for equity. Salary comes once revenue or funding arrives. This is for you if: You've been itching to start a company but wanted the right team and a real market first You want to advise or co-found something early, without starting from zero You've built products for hospitals, health systems, or nurses, & you know how they buy and work You are obsessed with using Claude, Chat, Replit, or other tools to build Most early startups are looking for customers. We already have them. Most need help with sales, marketing, and finance. We already have that too. Product is the one seat left.
Role at a glance
Role: Product Co-Founder
Time: Part-time, about 5 to 10 hours a week
Pay: Equity only to start, salary later
Location: Remote, open to applicants anywhere in the world
Stage: Early idea, building the first prototype
Industry: Healthcare hiring (HR tech)
What we're building CareTalent AI is a career site for nurses, nurse practitioners, PAs and CRNAs. Hospitals, health centers and staffing firms use it to hire these clinicians. Hospitals spend a lot on job ads, and most can't tell which ads led to good hires. We want to change that. You'll build the tools that show them. What the first prototype needs to doSmart job ads: Post one job to many job boards at once. Watch which boards bring in good candidates. Move more budget to those boards and less to the ones that bring clicks but no real applicants. Clear hiring dashboards: Show what an employer spent, how many people applied, who got hired and 365 days. Sort results by job board, job type, and month. Test two versions of a job post to see which works better. Prove it's worth it: Let a hospital's finance leader see what each job ad dollar bought, from the first click to a hire who stayed.
What you'll do:
  • Turn what customers say they'll pay for into a simple plan
  • Build the first prototype, either yourself or with a startup engineering team
  • Test it with pilot customers and improve it based on what they say
  • Help demo it to win our first paying customers
  • Who we're looking for
  • You have built products from scratch before
  • You know job ads, ad tech or analytics dashboards
  • You can build things yourself, or you know how to lead engineers who doYou can set aside a few hours each week and keep moving
  • You're excited to own part of an early company
  • Big plus: you've built products for healthcare organizations, nurses or clinicians
  • Who you'll work with
You'll join three co-founders with more than 20 years of experience each. We've built and scaled hiring companies before. We've already done the customer research, and buyers have told us what they'll pay for. You won't be guessing. You'll be building what customers are asking for. Sales and growth: about 25 years in healthcare sales and hiring. Built and ran a hiring company that placed about 10,000 people over 10 years. Led sales at a healthcare hiring marketplace. Marketing and demand: builds brands and fills the sales pipeline with new customers. Finance and operations: builds financial models and pricing, and runs day-to-day operations. How it works Now: a few hours a week, equity only, building the first prototype Next: test it with pilot customers and land our first paying deals Later: once we have revenue or funding, the role can grow into a paid leadership role Common questions Is this a paid job? Not at first. It is equity only until the company makes money or raises funding. How much time does it take? About 5 to 10 hours a week while we build the first prototype. Do I need to code? No. You can build it yourself or lead a startup engineering team that builds it. Who are the customers? Hospitals, health centers and CRNAs. What makes this different? Most job ad tools stop at the click or the application. We track all the way to hires who stay, so employers can see their real return. Interested? Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
