About the role

Social Media Manager This is not a scheduling job. You will own Turing's presence on LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook and turn our research and point of view into content that spreads. You write the posts, build the calendar, cover the moments that matter and engage directly with the AI community. You have already written content that broke out well beyond your own following. Here, you will do it for a company that sits at the center of the AI conversation. The researchers, builders and enterprise leaders who shape AI decide what to pay attention to on social media, often in a single scroll. Turing has the work worth paying attention to. Your job is to make sure it lands with the right people, in a voice they trust. Over the next 12 months, you will grow our researcher and enterprise engagement rate on X and LinkedIn, lead Turing's social presence at top industry events such as ICML and NeurIPS, respond quickly and spark conversations on top AI trends, run employee advocacy programs, and lead with a metrics-driven approach. The calendar. Own the day-to-day content calendar across LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook, from idea to published post. The writing. Write sharp, platform-native copy in Turing's voice that makes technical work accessible without getting it wrong. The breakout content. Turn research, benchmarks and launches into threads, visuals, short video and campaigns that earn reach and engagement. The big moments. Plan and run social for conferences such as NeurIPS, from the build-up through live coverage and follow-up. The community. Engage directly with researchers, customers and the wider AI community through replies, reposts with a point of view and real relationships. The numbers. Set goals, track performance, report on what is working and use it to sharpen the next round. This role is focused on social. You will not: Own paid media or ad budgets Run PR or press relations Own brand design systems; our design team does, and you partner with them Write long-form research content; our researchers do, and you make it travel A breakout writer. You have written posts that were picked up far beyond your own following, and you can show the reach they earned. Fluent in AI. You know the researchers, builders and companies in the AI conversation and what resonates with them. A translator. You can take a complex idea and make it land in one sentence, and the researcher behind it would still sign off. Platform-native. You know the formats, timing and culture of LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook, and you never paste the same post across all four. Data-driven. You set goals, read the numbers and change course. A shipper. You publish while it matters, not after it has been polished for a week.4+ years running social media for a brand, company or public figure, or an equivalent portfolio. A track record of posts that broke out and were widely picked up. You will be asked for examples and reach numbers. Excellent writing. Hands-on fluency with LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook. Comfort with social analytics tools. Experience marketing to technical or research audiences. Basic design or short-form video skills. Experience running social at conferences or live events. Experience building social media in the AI space If your experience is mostly scheduling, reporting or community moderation, and someone else wrote the posts, this is not the right role. If you can't point to a post that broke out and show its reach, this is not the right role. If you need a week of approvals and a finished design before you post, this is not the right role. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
