About the role
Fashion Merchandiser Vintage Home is a privately held, full service global manufacturer headquartered in the vibrant heart of New York City. We have 5 divisions focusing on scent & shea butter infused slipper socks, textiles, and keychains, artificial botanicals, and indulgent unique Snacks. We are seeking an analytical, highly organized, and commercially minded Fashion Merchandiser to join our in-office team in the heart of the Garment District. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our creative teams and our major retail partners. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of retail math, a deep understanding of market trends, and the strategic mindset needed to curate highly profitable product assortments from concept through to delivery. Assortment & Line Planning: Develop strategic seasonal line plans and collection grids that balance creative novelty with commercial viability for major retail accounts. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Design product development based on hard sales data, market gaps, and customer feedback. Market & Trend Analysis: Conduct competitive shopping and market research to identify emerging trends in pricing, product categories, and retail display strategies.
Education & Experience:
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in retail corporate buying or wholesale apparel merchandising. Product Knowledge: Experience working with soft goods, impulse/gift items, accessories, footwear (slippers), or textiles (blankets) is highly preferred. Communication & Organization: Exceptional communication skills with an outgoing personality. Ability to confidently present data-driven product assortments to internal teams, retail buyers, and overseas manufacturers.
Salary Range: $60k- $90k INDMM
