About the role

Company Description: Vulcan Development originates and prepares sites for large-scale digital infrastructure, transforming raw land into fully energization-ready properties. The company focuses on sites with a clear, credible path to power within 36 months, backed by strong relationships with local jurisdictions to secure approvals efficiently. Vulcan Development manages the full lifecycle of site delivery, including off-market land acquisition, power procurement for loads from 20 MW to over 500 MW, and entitlement and zoning through public hearings. Each project is handed over as a build-ready site with civil design, utility agreements, and construction packages that can be executed immediately by its sister company, Vulcan Mission Critical. As part of Vulcan Group LLC, the company also forms capital partnerships and holds equity in the sites it develops.
Role Description: The VP Data Center Delivery is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for end-to-end delivery of data center sites from acquisition through energization. This role oversees program and project execution, ensuring that power procurement, civil design, entitlement, and construction readiness milestones are met on schedule and within budget. The VP will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with utilities, local jurisdictions, engineering partners, and capital partners, and manage risk across multiple, concurrent data center development projects. Daily responsibilities include setting delivery strategy, defining standards and processes, reviewing technical and commercial project documentation, monitoring service delivery performance, and reporting status to executive leadership and external stakeholders. The role also includes mentoring team members, refining best practices, and supporting business development efforts with operators and infrastructure funds.
Qualifications: Program Management and Project Management skills to oversee complex, multi-phase data center development initiatives. Service Delivery and Professional Services experience to ensure high-quality execution and stakeholder satisfaction across technical and commercial workstreams. Consulting capabilities to advise internal teams, partners, and clients on site selection, power strategies, and delivery risk mitigation. Proven leadership in data center, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure development, including managing cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of utility interconnection, power infrastructure, civil design, and construction readiness for high-load sites. Experience working with local jurisdictions on zoning, entitlement, and permitting processes, including public hearings. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage executives, partners, and public officials. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are beneficial. Ability to work on-site in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area and travel to project locations and partner meetings as needed.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
