Journeyman Systems EngineerWe are recruiting for a Journeyman Systems Engineer for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services (EPASS) Contract at Peterson Space Force Base supporting SYD 85 in the S5.This is a full-time position at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specificationsPerform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specificationsPrepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics. Prepares management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering economy principlesPerform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures. Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systemsProvide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives, including but not limited to acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, testing and operations oversight.Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with Air Force System Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) processesProvide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies based on engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule.Provide technical recommendation support services, including reviews, studies, audits, evaluations and analyses, scientific and procedural guidance, documentation, technical analysis, and support of associated engineering IPTs.Provide proposal analysis support services that compare and quantify proposed systems, components, approaches for technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectivenessProvide concepts and requirements analyses support services including, but not limited to, reviewing and analyzing:Initial Capabilities DocumentsCapability Development DocumentsCapability Production DocumentsAlternatives of Analysis (AoA)sMilitary Utility AssessmentsConcepts of Operation (CONOPs)Technology Development StrategiesFunctional Configuration Audits (FCAs)/Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)Technology Standards ProfilesQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Citizenship: Must be a U.S. CitizenClearance: Ability to obtain and maintain TSEducation: High School DiplomaYears of Experience: 7 years of directly related experience OR BA/BS degree with 3 years of directly related experiencePreferred Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degreeYears of experience: 3 years of directly related experienceAdditional Experience:DoD Acquisition Program Office experienceExperience supporting Missile Warning, Missile Defense and/or Space Domain Awareness or Command and Control SystemsDoDAF Architectural documentation experience (Highly Preferred)Cloud-based technologiesMission and/or software applications and their usesDigital Engineering/Model-Based Systems EngineeringSparx EA (including ProCloud Server) or Cameo Enterprise ArchitectModeling and simulation on software-intensive systemsTools such as MATLAB, Simulink, AFSIMAdditional Information:Location: On-site at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, COHybrid: Telework capabilities for local candidates (percentage of telework allowed will vary based on the customer's discretion)Travel: Travel may be required to CONUS locations (approx. 10%)Company OverviewOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
