About the role

Leading the design of advanced building automation systems, the full-time Senior Building Automation Controls Designer will work remotely to create innovative DDC control systems for HVAC, lighting, and energy management while driving process improvements and mentoring team members.
Key responsibilities: Lead the design and development of comprehensive DDC control systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards Analyze and refine engineering processes to enhance efficiency and maintain design consistency Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers and engineers, fostering collaboration and innovationRequired qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing DDC control systems with a proven track record of successful projects Proficiency in building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks) and system integration Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and control panel design Expertise in CAD software and controls design tools, with experience in process improvement methodologies preferred
