Job Description: MACHINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANMonday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM $20.00 - $22.00 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to identify causes of malfunction Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and test for proper operation Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report issues as required Dismantle machines and equipment to access problem areas Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other mechanical issues Perform emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance on production equipment Start machines and equipment to test operation following repairs Repair or replace defective parts, motors, belts, and adjust feed mechanisms Connect wiring to motors and fixtures, replace switches and fuses, and splice or insulate wires Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment Maintain clean work areas, tools, and equipment Remove dirt, dust, grease, and waste material from machines Clean and lubricate machine parts to ensure smooth operation Perform general building maintenance such as patching, painting, and minor plumbing repairs Assist with installation of new production machinery and equipment Maintain routine housekeeping standards and safety compliance JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and understand mechanical processes Basic knowledge of electronics and hydraulics Previous experience in a machine shop performing maintenance mechanic duties preferred Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals) Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to read and understand electrical schematics High school diploma or equivalent required psseguin
