About the role

RH is seeking a Senior Production Designer to support the creation and execution of our Sourcebook, ensuring the highest standards of design accuracy, consistency, and craftsmanship. This role will collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters, and Production teams, bringing concepts to life through expert layout production, asset management, quality control, and prepress preparation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and produce Sourcebook page layouts, maintaining strict adherence to RH brand guidelines and template specifications Translate creative direction into highly refined, production-ready files while preserving design integrity throughout all stages of development Collaborate with Creative, Editorial, Photography, and Merchandising teams to proactively resolve production challenges and ensure accurate and timely integration of content Prepare, organize, and manage complex production files for print, ensuring all assets meet technical specifications and the highest quality standards Lead rigorous reviews of layouts for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, identifying and resolving issues throughout the production process Manage image placement, typography, pagination, and version control across multiple Sourcebook sections, complex revisions, and overlapping workstreams Coordinate with external print vendors and prepress partners to oversee proofing, troubleshoot production issues, support color accuracy, and ensure successful final file delivery Maintain and evolve organized file structures, asset libraries, templates, and workflow documentation to support efficient and scalable production processes Identify opportunities to develop and refine production workflows, standards, and best practices that improve efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality Serve as a production design resource to creative partners, providing guidance on production standards, technical requirements, and best practices Anticipate production risks, dependencies, and potential issues, proactively developing solutions to maintain quality and critical timelines Partner with cross-functional teams to manage priorities and meet critical deadlines in a high-volume production environmentOUR REQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience in production design, print production, editorial design, catalog production, or a related field Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Expert understanding of print production processes, prepress requirements, color management, proofing, and file preparation Extensive experience working with large-format publications, catalogs, magazines, or editorial layouts preferred Independently manage multiple complex projects and priorities while meeting tight deadlines Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills Proven ability to work effectively and exercise sound judgment within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong knowledge of typography, layout principles, design systems, and production best practicesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequent sitting or standing at a computer workstation for extended periods of time Repetitive use of hands and wrists for keyboarding, mouse use, and design production tasks Occasional lifting, moving, or carrying of materials up to 20 pounds Visually review layouts, imagery, typography, and production files with exceptional attention to detail and accuracyRH is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation, military/veteran status, or any other status protected by federal or state law or local ordinance.
