About the role
- Perform basic pre-functional checks on electrical and electronic systems using approved OEM checklists.
- Assist senior technicians and commissioning engineers during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for modular data center products.
- Verify electrical terminations, labeling, grounding, and overall system completeness to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Support equipment energization activities under close supervision, following established procedures.
- Perform basic control point and alarm testing on low-voltage power and control systems.
- Document test results accurately, record observations, and report discrepancies or issues to the appropriate team members.
- Follow OEM safety procedures at all times, including proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices.
- Conduct component-level testing on low-voltage power systems, UPS and battery subsystems, and basic PLC I/O as directed.
- Read and interpret basic electrical schematics and drawings to perform testing and verification tasks.
- Support electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks as needed in a manufacturing environment.
- Essential Skills 12 years of relevant experience in electronics, electrical testing, or a closely related technical field.
- Technical or trade background in electronics, electrical, or electro-mechanical disciplines.
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters.
- Proficiency in using a multimeter for measurements and diagnostics.
- Experience with electronic assembly, including PCB and component-level work.
- Ability to perform soldering and basic electronic assembly tasks.
- Familiarity with mechanical aspects of assembly and test in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow detailed OEM procedures and safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Comfort working with low-voltage power systems, UPS and battery subsystems, and basic PLC I/O.Skill in reading and understanding detailed schematics for troubleshooting and verification.
- Experience using a range of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
- Ability to perform PCB-level testing and inspection.
- Strong attention to detail in documentation, labeling, and reporting of test results.
- Willingness to cross-train and expand skills across multiple systems and technologies.
