About the role
We are seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to support a high-volume employee benefits environment across Health & Welfare and Retirement plans. This role will focus heavily on case management, employee support, and resolving benefit-related inquiries accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a high volume of employee benefit cases across Health & Welfare and Retirement plans• Support medical, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, and deferred compensation inquiries• Research, track, and resolve benefit cases while escalating complex issues when needed• Clearly communicate benefit information, processes, and next steps to employees• Maintain accurate case documentation within HRIS and case management systems• Partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, and other internal stakeholders• Help reduce case backlog and improve overall turnaround times• Identify recurring issues and potential process gaps
Required Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on employee benefits experience• Experience with Health & Welfare and/or Retirement benefits• Knowledge of 401(k), pension, and deferred compensation plans preferred• Experience managing benefit cases in a high-volume environment• Strong customer service and employee communication skills• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail• Experience with HRIS and case management tools such as Dovetail or similar systems• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
