About the role
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients
- Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
- Oversee payroll entries and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Review and mentor accounting staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Conduct team training and respond to client requests
- Maintain records for the preparation of 1099 filings
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or controller-team experience preferred
- Strong understanding of tax-basis accounting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online; ProAdvisor Certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros
- Prior experience supervising or reviewing other accountants’ work
- Strong leadership, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
- Comfortable leveraging technology and improving processes
- Able to thrive both independently and as part of a team
