About the role

NFA seeks a passionate and dynamic General Music Teacher to lead our music program for students in grades 4–8 for the 2025–2026 school year. This educator will play a vital role in fostering creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music within a supportive and collaborative school community. The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who inspires students, collaborates effectively with colleagues, and contributes meaningfully to the vibrant life of the school.
Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging general music instruction for students in grades 4–8 Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with state and national standards Prepare students for and lead performances, concerts, and choir-related events (on and off campus) Collaborate with the early elementary music teacher and school leadership to ensure program continuity Build positive and productive relationships with students, families, and colleagues Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment Uphold and model school policies and expectations Participate in school events and contribute to the broader school community Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field (preferred) Pennsylvania teaching certification in Music Education (preferred) Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (preferred) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Enthusiasm for working in a mission-driven Catholic school environment Willingness to support extracurricular and performance opportunities Why Join NFA?
