Job Description: Inventory Control: Seeking an Inventory Control Associate to join our rapidly growing Team. Reporting to our Director of Process Quality. This role would be suitable for an experienced Inventory Control Associate. As an Inventory Control Associate you will be responsible for internal and external inquiries via email, phone and face-to-face. The successful candidate must be trainable, have strong math skills, solid communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, pays attention to details and is willing to accept new challenges.
Primary responsibilities: Identify inventory discrepancies. Count and reconcile inventory variances and research root causes. This includes:
  • Running computer reports and communicating with warehouse staff to identify inventory problems
  • Traveling throughout the warehouse to count variances and search for missing inventory
  • Researching variances in the WMS to discover root causes and adjusting the perpetual inventory to match physical counts.
  • Cooler and Freezer work are a regular part of the position whenever needed
  • Secondary responsibilities:
  • Conduct monthly comprehensive cigarette counts
  • Check date codes and identify out of code and close-coded items
  • Remove out of code items from pick locations and remove from inventory both physically and in the perpetual inventory.
  • Break up shippers when necessary
  • Participate in full physical company inventory
  • Requirements, Skills & Proficiencies:
  • Schedule Monday through Friday 6am until 2:30pm, Full Time (40-45 hours per week)
  • Occasional Saturdays required
Cigarette inventory on end of fiscal month will require a longer day (usually the last Friday of the month).Full physical inventory in December will require significant overtime during the month and will be especially necessary during the week of the inventory (often 60+ hours for the week of inventory).\nCompany DescriptionNational Convenience Distributors (NCD) has five divisions and is the largest full-line convenience store distributor, serving the East Coast.
