Critical components of these systems are optics and optical assemblies.
Duties:
Assemble and align free-space optical components including lenses, mirrors and other optical elements.
Perform optical system integration and troubleshooting ensuring all components meet specifications and performance standards.
Use precision tools and equipment such as microscopes and optical mounts to assemble and test laser head.
Conduct tests on finished assemblies to ensure functionality, optical performance and alignment.
Document assembly processes, test results and any issues encountered during assembly.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues and improve assembly procedures.
Follow company standards for safety and quality control throughout the assembly process.
Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job.
