Job Description:
Bench Hand Wanted: Experienced with assembly of machine tool components. The successful candidate must have experience working in a metal shop environment. This position requires someone who is detail orientated and is able to work independently with a special emphasis on quality. Has a good understanding of shop machinery such as I.D. grinder, O.D. grinder, lathes and mills as well as hand tools. Familiarity with inspection tools is a requirement.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a metalworking tool shop environment. Hands-on experience with machine tool assemblies with an emphasis on bearing assemblies. Experience assembling bearing assemblies or similar precision components. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, drawings and specifications. Familiarity with inspection gages. Troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Consistent focus on producing accurate, high-quality work. Bench Experience for a supporting role as it involves I.D. Grinding, O.D. Grinding, Honing and Lapping.
