HR Generalist-Bilingual Spanish Glendale Heights, IL | On-site
Salary: $70,000–$85,000A manufacturing company is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations for a multi-shift production workforce. This hands-on role partners with employees and managers on recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training, and compliance.
Responsibilities: Manage recruiting, interviews, new-hire orientation, and onboarding. Serve as a resource for employees and managers, addressing workplace concerns and supporting conflict resolution. Administer benefits enrollment and communicate policies, programs, and employee updates. Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS activities, including timekeeping, onboarding, and payroll processing and approvals. Support compliance with employment laws, FMLA requirements, and company policies. Coordinate workers’ compensation cases, return-to-work programs, and OSHA recordkeeping and reporting. Support employee development, safety training, performance reviews, and organizational changes.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or an associate degree with 5–8 years of HR experience supporting a manufacturing location. Experience supporting hourly employees in a multi-shift production environment. Knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, benefits, and employment laws. Experience with workers’ compensation, workplace injury procedures, and OSHA recordkeeping. Proficiency with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office; Excel analysis skills preferred. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment when handling confidential matters. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred to support employee conversations, policy translations, and benefits and compliance communications.
