Job Description: Expressions of Interest Vice President, Transmission and Interconnection
Location: Remote, United States
Salary: $300,000 – $340,000 (+ performance bonus)We are seeking expressions of interest for a Vice President of Transmission and Interconnection, modeled on an executive-level role with a high-growth renewable energy developer building out its grid integration function at scale. The business develops utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage projects across key U.S. markets, and is at a stage of growth where Transmission and Interconnection strategy is a core driver of portfolio value and delivery velocity. What the VP of Transmission and Interconnection Would Do: Set and own the company's Transmission and Interconnection strategy across all active and prospective markets, aligning interconnection, transmission planning, and power systems functions under a unified approach Serve as the executive-level interface with ISOs, RTOs, utilities, and regulatory bodies, representing the company on matters of interconnection policy, queue reform, and transmission access Lead and develop a team spanning interconnection management, power studies, and transmission planning, building the function in line with pipeline growth Partner with Development, Finance, and M&A leadership to assess interconnection risk, inform go/no-go decisions, and support project financing and M&A diligence Shape the company's response to evolving interconnection frameworks, including FERC Order 2023 implementation, cluster study reform, and RTO-specific rule changes
Who You Are: 12+ years of progressive experience in grid integration, transmission planning, or interconnection within a U.S. RTO/ISO environment Demonstrable track record of leading interconnection strategy across a large, multi-market renewable energy portfolio Deep familiarity with ISO/RTO frameworks including ERCOT, MISO, PJM, CAISO, or SPP and the regulatory landscape shaping each Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams in a fast-paced development environment Executive presence and the ability to represent the company credibly with utilities, regulators, investors, and board-level stakeholders Why This Role: Executive leadership of a business-critical function at a pivotal stage of the company's growth Direct influence over investment strategy, portfolio prioritisation, and organisational build-out Highly visible platform with reporting line to C-suite and meaningful equity upside potential Strong pipeline, well-capitalised business, and a clear mandate to lead If you'd like to register your interest confidentially, please reach out to Luca Araguez.
