Job Description:
- Job Description Novisal has an Immediate Opening for a Construction Safety Professional to work on Major Infrastructure Projects.
- We are looking for seasoned and serious Safety & Health Professionals to join our team and fill immediate openings for Construction Safety Managers on multiple long-term infrastructure projects in Manhattan.
- Responsibilities will include the management of all safety and security matters at construction sites for NYC agencies including MTA:Provide safety oversight of demolition and construction activities
- Implement and enforce the Accident Prevention Program for each work site
- Enforce relevant federal, state and local regulations
- Help implement and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans and Site Work Plans
- Conduct Environmental Health & Safety Site Audits to ensure compliance
- Conduct accident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions development
- Conduct safety meetings as required
- Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and the general public
- Maintain Daily Safety Logs and photo records to help correct deficiencies
Qualifications:
- Secure knowledge of federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations 3-5 years of on-site construction safety experience
- Demonstrated, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and generate written reports as necessary
- Ability to communicate effectively and consistently with a wide range of personnel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a must
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting and competing priorities
- Considerable skill working both independently and as part of a team required
