Overview:
We’re looking for a contract content writer who excels at crafting compelling internal messages across a variety of campaigns, channels, and touchpoints. You’ll work within the Internal Communications team to research, develop, and maintain high-quality written content that informs, prepares, and excites employees. You’ll play a key role in developing evergreen and business-relevant content that strengthens communication channels, improves access to information, and enhances employee experience. Working closely with subject matter experts, the writer will gather facts, translate complex information into clear and compelling written content, and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Research, gather, and validate information from subject matter experts and business partners to support content development.· Write, edit, and update evergreen content that remains relevant to employees over time.· Develop and maintain content· Create engaging newsletter articles and communication copy that support organizational priorities and business initiatives.· Produce industry content that helps employees stay informed about relevant trends and developments.· Collaborate with Internal Communications, functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with communication standards.· Edit and proofread internal content to ensure clarity, quality, and adherence to guidelines and standards.· Recommend content improvements and identify opportunities to refresh existing materials based on employee needs and feedback.· Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting established deadlines and project milestones.
Minimum Requirements:
· 5+ years of professional writing, editing, or content development experience, preferably in internal communications, corporate communications, employee experience, or a related field.· Portfolio demonstrating strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content development capabilities across multiple content formats.· Proven ability to research, gather, and synthesize information from subject matter experts and business partners into clear, engaging, and employee-friendly content.· Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.· Experience developing and maintaining digital content for intranet sites, newsletters, or similar communication vehicles.· Ability to adapt messaging, tone, and style for different audiences while maintaining tone and communication standards.· Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.· Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and incorporating feedback from multiple reviewers.· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power Point, and Teams.· Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, content strategy, journalism, employee communications, or content marketing.· Experience developing content for employee intranets, digital workplace platforms, or employee-facing communication channels.· Experience creating evergreen content, organizational updates, newsletter content, feature stories and executive content.· Experience supporting employee engagement, culture, change management, or organizational communication initiatives.· Familiarity with Share Point and employee communication platforms.· Experience working in a fast-paced organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
