Buyer ILos Angeles County, CA (Onsite) W2 Contract (6 Months with potential for extension or direct hire) Monday-Friday, 9/80 with alternating Fridays offWe are seeking a Buyer I to join a busy, collaborative procurement team supporting day-to-day purchasing operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.ResponsibilitiesProcess purchase orders for materials, supplies, equipment, and services.Source suppliers and obtain competitive pricing, negotiating terms and conditions when appropriate.Monitor purchase orders and delivery schedules, following up with vendors to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.Resolve purchasing, invoicing, and delivery discrepancies.Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation for audit compliance.Review bid documents for completeness and accuracy.Assist with contract administration, including purchase orders, blanket agreements, and master contracts.Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to support procurement activities.Perform additional purchasing and procurement-related duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or buyer experience.Experience creating purchase orders, negotiating pricing, and managing vendor relationships.Knowledge of purchasing policies, procurement processes, and contract administration.Experience maintaining procurement documentation and records.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, along with purchasing or ERP systems.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Preferred ExperienceExperience supporting public sector.Experience with bid administration and contract documentation.Familiarity with inventory replenishment and expediting purchase orders.
