Location: Humble, TX
Schedule: Day shift 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 40 hrs/week
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay: $16-$19/hr (based on experience)
Openings: 2Position Summary We're hiring an entry-level CNC Lathe Machinist to help produce precision machined components (small to medium-sized parts such as flanges, fittings, and similar products). This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of machining experience who's eager to grow in a precision manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes using setup sheets, work instructions, and blueprints
  • Load/unload raw material and finished parts safely and efficiently
  • Verify setups and perform first-piece and in-process inspections
  • Make minor machine adjustments and tool offset changes to maintain part quality (escalate programming/process issues as needed)
  • Measure parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.)Perform secondary operations as needed (deburring, tapping, polishing)
  • Complete production/inspection documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following safety and quality procedures
What We're Looking For: High school diploma or GED required (technical/vocational machining training preferred)1-2 years of CNC lathe machining experience preferred (or equivalent training/experience) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic GD&TComfortable using precision measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
