Details Main OR setting supporting General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgeries 16 operating rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients Patient population ranges from adults to geriatrics Day shift schedule of 4x 10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Uses Epic EMR, Pyxis medication system, and 2 Da Vinci XI robotic surgical systems Requires working 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call On-call requirements include 7-8 calls per 8-week schedule, including 1 weekend call, 1-2 weekend shifts, and 2-3 weekday night calls Call shifts are either 7 PM-7 AM or 7 AM-7 PM Rare floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed Requirements Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of consideration BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred Minimum 3 years of previous charge experience required Minimum 1 year of OR experience required; first-time travelers accepted Circulate and scrub experience required Travel experience required 1:1 patient ratio experience Epic charting system experience required Community Hospital experience required Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferred Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties including Vascular, Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Robotics, Urology, ENT, Bariatrics, and Thoracic procedures Additional Information Circulate and scrub for a wide variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties including robotics Facility-provided scrubs Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission with no changes allowed after offer No RTO permitted during orientation week or during Spring Break blackout dates (April 4th-12th) Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate Previous permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be away from all facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler Returning travelers who were cancelled or deemed unable to return must complete one successful assignment at another facility before reapplying Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling American Traveler Job ID P-754788.
