We want to meet you. Hillcrest Firethorn in Lincoln, NE is looking for a Director of Culinary to lead our Culinary Department and Bistro—and this is much more than managing a kitchen. We’re looking for someone who can bring together great food + strong leadership + smart operations + an exceptional resident experience. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to: Lead, coach, and develop a talented culinary team Own the day-to-day operations of the Culinary Department and Bistro Drive food quality, presentation, consistency, and resident satisfaction Manage food costs, inventory, expenses, and department budgets Oversee menus, dietary requirements, and our CBORD system Maintain strong sanitation, food-safety, and regulatory standards Partner closely with community leadership and clinical teams Build training programs and create a culture of accountability and teamwork Bring fresh ideas to the table and make an impact across the entire community Who are we looking for? Someone who can lead from the front. Someone who understands that food is more than a meal—it’s comfort, connection, routine, and one of the highlights of someone’s day. You’ll need:3+ years of supervisory experience in a culinary role Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred Healthcare culinary experience is preferred Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skillsA passion for building teams and delivering a great dining experience At Hillcrest, our mission is Inspiring people to live their best lives.
