About the Role:
Modular Equipment LLC is looking for a skilled Vessel Fitter to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on exciting fabrication projects in a fast-paced, industrial environment where your craftsmanship truly matters. Responsibilities:
Fit, assemble, and weld (tack) pressure vessel cylinders, tanks, and related structural components per engineering drawings and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly
Perform layout and fit-up of shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, and structural attachments
Use hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments to prepare and align components
Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and other fabrication team members to meet project deadlines
Inspect completed assemblies for dimensional accuracy and compliance with ASME or applicable codes
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with shop safety standards
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Vessel Fitter in an industrial fabrication environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
Familiarity with ASME pressure vessel codes and fabrication standards is a plus
Proficiency with layout tools, measuring instruments, and hand/power tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
Must be able to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions
