About the role
To support the packaging of quantum processing units, the full-time Senior Process Technician will execute procedures for cleaning, assembling, and testing delicate components while operating complex equipment in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
Execute procedures for cleaning, assembling, bonding, inspecting, and testing packaged ion traps and related hardware
Operate complex packaging equipment and handle small, fragile components with precision
Collect process and test data, providing first-pass interpretation and escalating deviations from procedures
Required qualifications:
Roughly 2+ years of hands-on experience in high-tech manufacturing or precision assembly environments
Demonstrated fine motor skills in handling small components, including professional microscope work
Ability to read and follow blueprints and operating procedures accurately
Experience operating and troubleshooting automated equipment such as wire bonders and reflow ovens
A 2-year technical degree or higher is preferred
