About the Opportunity:
Elevate is seeking an experienced Managing Director, Sales (IP Solutions) to lead revenue growth, client expansion, and go-to-market strategy for a growing Intellectual Property solutions business. This is an executive-level player/coach opportunity responsible for both individual revenue generation and leadership of a global sales team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background selling Intellectual Property services, legal technology, legal services, or related solutions to law firms and corporate legal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive net-new business development, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities. Manage, coach, and develop a team of sales and account management professionals. Carry an individual revenue target while also leading overall team performance. Build strategic account plans and execute growth strategies across key client relationships. Lead enterprise sales opportunities from prospecting through contract execution. Collaborate with marketing, delivery, and operations teams to support go-to-market initiatives. Build relationships with senior decision-makers within legal departments and law firms. Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and sales reporting. Serve as a visible ambassador within the legal industry and broader IP community.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Intellectual Property (IP) sales experience with a strong record of exceeding revenue targets. Sales leadership experience within legal services, legal technology, ALSPs, or related sectors. Experience selling to law firms, corporate legal departments, or intellectual property organizations. Demonstrated success developing and growing enterprise accounts. Strong understanding of legal industry buying cycles and decision-making processes. Experience operating in a player/coach sales leadership capacity. Strong executive presence, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) or licensed attorney Experience selling IP management platforms, patent-related services, trademark solutions, or legal technology. Existing network within corporate legal departments, IP groups, and law firms. Experience within an Alternative Legal Services Provider (ALSP) environment. Global account management experience. Experience supporting legal operations, legal transformation, or IP management initiatives.
