Family-owned and operated, we specialize in planning and executing complex crane, rigging, and specialized transportation projects for customers across the industrial, petrochemical, power generation, and related industries. Deep South Crane & Rigging is seeking a Prequalification Coordinator to join our Corporate Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position is responsible for managing client and contractor prequalification requirements and helping ensure Deep South remains qualified and eligible to perform work for current and prospective customers. The Prequalification Coordinator will work closely with Safety, Human Resources, Risk Management, Accounting, Operations, Sales, and other departments to collect, maintain, and submit accurate company information through client and third-party prequalification systems. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple deadlines, communicate effectively across departments, and take ownership of time-sensitive qualification requirements. Our corporate office is in Baton Rouge, LA, with other offices located throughout Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, and other areas supporting Deep South operations. This position will be located at the Corporate Office in Baton Rouge, LA.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage new and recurring client prequalification submissions, questionnaires, registrations, and renewals. Maintain Deep South's profiles and qualification status within third-party contractor management systems, including ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce, and client-specific portals. Monitor upcoming expirations, outstanding requirements, client requests, and other items that could affect Deep South's qualification status. Coordinate with internal departments to obtain current information and supporting documentation required for prequalification submissions. Compile and maintain commonly requested company information, including safety, insurance, financial, licensing, certification, and organizational records. Review prequalification questionnaires for accuracy and completeness and follow through to ensure timely submission. Work with Sales, Operations and Executive Management to prioritize requests based on bids, project schedules, and customer needs. Maintain organized records and assist with client audits, compliance reviews, and other qualification-related requests as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Safety, or a related field. However, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience with contractor prequalification, vendor onboarding, compliance, construction administration, or a related function preferred. Familiarity with ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce, or similar contractor management systems preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on assignments. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and work effectively across departments. Active Notary Public commission is preferred but not required. Deep South is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
