Accounting Consultant (Senior or Manager)

About the Opportunity We are partnering with an innovative, clinical-stage biotechnology organization seeking a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to provide interim accounting support. This engagement offers the opportunity to join a collaborative finance team supporting a company developing cutting-edge therapies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Duration: Approximately 3-4 months Location: Hybrid - San Diego, CA Compensation: Senior Accountant: $55-$70/hour | Accounting Manager: $70-$90/hour Please note these ranges are estimates, and actual pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, and the level at which the consultant is engaged. Scope Provide day-to-day general accounting support Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Analyze financial results and resolve accounting variances Maintain continuity across accounting processes and reporting deadlines Partner with the accounting team to ensure deliverables remain on track Support a variety of accounting functions based on business priorities and individual expertise Assist with audit support, special accounting projects, and operational initiatives as needed Collaborate with finance leadership to address evolving business needs in a dynamic environment Qualifications & Expertise Experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager Strong foundation in general accounting principles and financial close processes Ability to work independently while managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly preferred CPA and/or Big Four public accounting experience is a plus Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or cost accounting experience is strongly preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills About Sayva Sayva Solutions is an accounting, finance, technology, business transformation and human resources professional services firm whose focus is on long term relationships created through teamwork and doing what is in the best interest of others.
